What I Learned Today

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Following the sweet and simple, yet highly effective practice of Veerji Paramjit Singh, what I learned today:

Useless. Everything is useless.

Everything but Naam.

Isn't it strange?

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to Guruduara Sahib, but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at Guruduara Sahib, and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying, but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one Ang of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants front row tickets to concerts or games, but they do whatever is possible to sit at the back of Darbar?

Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event for at Guruduara Sahib 2-3
weeks in advance so we can include it in our agendas, but we can adjust it for other events at the last minute?

Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about Waheguru to share with others, but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?

Isn't it strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say, but we
question the words of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven, but they don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?

Isn't it strange how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away, but when we are going to send messages about Waheguru, we think twice before we share it with others?

It's strange, isn't it?

Waheguru Ji. Thank you for the e-mail, Inderpal Bhenji =)

Guru Ji I'm sorry.
I realize that everything You do is because You want to do it, whether there is a logical reason or not. I understand that there is no point in trying to fight it, and really no reason to resent it, either. I see myself coming to accept the fact that it's okay. It's always okay. You give, and You take away, and You give some more. So is it really that bad if You take away some more? I don't think so, not anymore at least.

I don't hate You anymore. I don't resent what You do, I don't wonder why you made rapes and murders and bombs and war and greedy people and poor people and crippled people and mentally hindered people. I have not yet come to accept these things, however. I saw the brother of a man from Guruduara Sahib at Costco today, and I didn't know it was him until Mumma Ji began to talk to Papa Ji about him, and I overheard. The man from Guruduara Sahib is mentally disabled in some way, and behaves very much like a child, but he does not seem dangerous or harmful. His mother and father are elderly, and take good care of him, but this brother of his is very mean. He yells and hits his parents, and he hits his brother for doing the things he does.

When I thought of him today, after seeing him once again on Sunday, I did not ask You why You made him, why You made his brother, why You did what you did. But I did feel sad, and I did feel sorry, which is a sure sign that I haven't yet accepted what You do.

But I want to thank You for everything. And I don't mean the clothes and house and school and books and kids and computer and friends and Kirtan and Guruduara Sahib and cameras and internet and tv and paper and words and feelings and thoughts and emotions and ladybugs and spiders and lions and elephants and platypuses and ducks and alligators and flowers and bushes and trees and leaves and weeds and water and soda and cotton candy and circuses and only You know what else but Waheguru Ji I don't know what I'm thanking You for.

I just need to say sorry. I know that it could be that I haven't done anything, that even my mistakes are not mine, they are just more of what You will to be done, they are not in my hands at all but Waheguru Ji I'm sorry. I'm so so terribly sorry. For everything. Literally everything. In some way, everything that I have done is wrong. Every single thing.

Thank You so much. Just... I don't know. I really don't. I thought when I started this post that I did, but I don't, and now I don't know how to say what I wanted to say, and now I don't know what I wanted to say, either, so I guess that's pointless and you know because it's related I suppose I could thank You for them and even for making them so far or taking them away but Waheguru Ji please.

please sorry thank you sorry please thank you please thank you sorry sorry please sorry thank you sorry please waheguru

it seems that is all that ever comes out of this mrakjs' mouth will i ever be able to see no difference between You and me? Is that blasphemy, for someone like me to consider that? I think it is, I feel it is, do You think it is God? Is it? I don't know, but I think it might be. I even like to think it might be, because I can't imagine that being right.

will I ever be able to say i love You and not just be kidding myself? will i ever really feel it? and you know what, well of course you know what, what is there that you dont know? nothing, right, so its useless for me to say, but those questions are empty. im not really asking them, they're just there god, i dont need an answer, they're unimportant, im not wondering or waiting or hoping or wishing

i just need to love You. and if i ever don't, or i mean if i don't ever, then even that's okay.

im so sorry god. im so sorry. i probably have nothing to be sorry for but thats how you made me so im sorry anyway. its the first time in a long time i havent been numb, and now it feels fake. is it fake? it might be fake. i know this sounds like acrazy person, or a frantic person, or even someone who's chaotic inside and calm outside, but im none or neither or whatever of those. imcalm inside and out, and conscious of everything. every word, every typo, every missing space and letter not capitalized

does that make me heartless? saying sorry and knowing i dont mean it and saying thank you and please and i love you and knowing none of them are true, i think it makes me heartless. im pretty sure it does.

good night god. maybe tomorrow ill be able to tell you what i mean.

thank you. sorry. good night

Viaakhiaa of Sri Baavan Akhree

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Continuing from a previous post: Kathhaa Veechaar !!

A total of 30 tracks can be downloaded here. The Kathhaa is done by Giani Thakur Singh Jee.

My apologies for the complicated method of downloading- just scroll down to the bottom of the page, click free, and wait until an option to pick between mirrors shows up. Pick one and enter the verification code shown in the image. That's when the download box will appear.

Also, during the upload process, some confusion seems to have occurred and the tracks are a bit out of order.
Sorry about that as well =)

I tried another service and found that the method of download was particularly complicated, and was recommended RapidShare by someone. However, it turns out that RapidShare's method of download is similar and equally complex. If anyone could recommend another site which will upload files for free, easier downloads, that would be great.

I don't know if these are on the internet anywhere, they most likely are, but I got them from Papa Ji and had them on the computer, and felt they went very well with the post I've linked to above.

Hate Mail

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsaa Waheguru Ji Ki Fatehh

a humble benti at the feet of all blog visitors:

Pyaare Gurmukho, if you wish to
impart some wisdom upon this fool, please do not hesitate to do so. However, if you feel the need to implement such vocabulary as was placed in use by the author{s} of two comments under the previous post, I beg of you, you please use the email link on this murakh's profile to share this wisdom with her. For the benefit of fellow blog visitors, I hope you keep this benti in mind - for fools like me may not realize that even when such words are dropped from the tongue, one is a true lover of Guru Maharaj, and so I do not appreciate the true value of your comments. Especially because of this, I ask that comments please be kept as cleanly worded as possible, because those of my nonexistent avastha will fail to understand what vulgarity is occuring, and what it really is.

Here, I will make it easier if such is the probl

Another issue concerning the post below - my benti in the charan of Sangat, whoever views the video, please link to or directly post the video on any blog/website/forum that you can, to spread the word as quickly and efficiently as possible.

please forgive me for my countless mistakes.

Our Questions, Guru Sahib's Answers

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fatehh

Siri Bavan Akhri is a rare jewel that Gursikhs cannot part from. This is a delicious and nutritious spiritual food that Gursikhs eat every day. In this baani, there are answers to many of our commonly asked questions. Presented below are our some of our questions and Guru Sahib's answers.

1) How to be successful in this world and the next world?

rix drgih qau sIJih BweI]
jau gurmuiK rwm nwm ilv lweI]

Only then you my be successful in this battlefield (world) or in Dargah (next world), if you japp and get absorbed in Gurmukh-Naam i.e. the true Naam of Gurughar.

2) How to rid our mind of enmity and opposition?

vYr ivroD imty iqh mnqy]
hir kIrqnu gurmuiK jo sunqy]

Enmity and opposition gets washed away from their minds, who listen to Hari Kirtan, through the true Guru.

3) How will worldly wandering of the mind stop?

DDw Dwvq qau imtY sMq sMigho iebwsu]

Their wandering in doing the worldly tasks is stopped, who start residing in the company of devotees i.e. in Satsang.

4) How to not reside in Narak or how to not end up in Narak?

They never fall in Narak (hell); who have in their mind and body only Naam.

5) How to eliminate the fear of dreadful journey with jammdoots after death?

qRws imtY jm pMQ kI jwsu bsY min nwau]

The fear of JammPanth i.e. journey after death to Dharam Rai, when Naam resides in one's mind.

Received a great e-mail today - this, a post from Guruduara Sahib Tapoban's 'Phorum'. The article originally posted here has been reposted by the sender of the e-mail here.

A veechar of Pauree 38 of Sri Baavan Akhri can be found here, and I feel both of them are definitely worth a read.

And continuing in this vein of linking to great articles, learn How to Get Rid of Bikaars while you're at it =)

I definitely feel this is a major step on the path to my resuming a regular {ish} pattern of blogging - stealing other people's posts and articles!

I've got a load of Sri Baavan Akhri Kathhaa Veechaar on my computer, and will be uploading and posting the links to that soon.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

There is a new addition to, a creation "to fulfill [sskhalsa's] desire of following web2.0 trends", which will produce and present "biweekly NAAM filled podcasts for everyone to enjoy."

NaamCasts v1.0 was officially released yesterday, and shortly after the grand opening, the first 'episode' was added to the site.

Make sure to give NaamCasts a shot {keep in mind the directions for recommended usage, located at the top of the page underneath the logo}, as well as drop by {an interesting personal website with a mix of general musings, reviews of literature/events, inspirational articles, etc. It's also a great place to download different sorts of literature as well as Kirtan files found nowhere else}.
Spread the word - help make a sevaa successful; NaamCasts brought to you by sskhaLsa.

Way to advertise =D, if I do say so myself =P

A Little Confusion

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

For those of you who may have noticed, I'm as befuddled as you are. I want to apologize to everyone who e-mailed me about the random changes of address - but I only did it once. The sudden revert back to teraroop11.blogspot came as a surprise to me, as well.

If one were to follow the link to, one would see the URL has been stolen...for advertisements =)

I will be e-mailing blogger shortly to see what's going on, and if I can get the other address back. Those of you who are agitated by this, please bear with me.

and thanks to all those who took the trouble to update their links =). I'm actually quite surprised, turns out more people follow my poorly kept blog than I thought.. maybe soon there will be something worth reading on here.

If not, return for the Baani this murakh sometimes is inspired to post =)

=) =) =)

bless the world Pitha Jee, may we see the Chardeekalaa you've given us
